Conference Topics
The
Computeralgebra Expert Group
of the
Society of Computer Sciences Germany
(GI) organises an industrial conference after a break of eleven years. In the face of great challenges to digital security by new technologies such as artificial intelligence, high performance binary systems and quantum technologies we decided to focus on cryptography.
Currently the
NIST
(National Institute of Standard and Technologies, US Department of Commerce) is in a standardization process of new cryptographical algorithms deemed secure even in the presence of quantum computers, called Post Quantum Cryptography. These algorithms will require experts with special skills for implementation and deep understanding of dedicated areas in mathematics, algorithms and computing — a rewarding, and quickly evolving field with future prospects for young graduates and postdocs.
Representatives from industry have the opportunity to present their current fields of work and foster contacts to scientists and their students. The talks will cover purely algorithmic questions, computing aspects and context topics, such as the necessity of post quantum cryptography for the realisation of QKD-networks with dynamically authenticated encrypted communication sessions.
We have invited experts of various industrial domains, to outline professional possibilities besides a conventional scientific career to the younger generation and to meet with academics.
